About the consortium
The National Network for Interpreting is an initiative which was funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) from August 2007 to July 2013.
Since July 2013 the National Network for Interpreting has retained its identity and has joined forces with the National Networks for Translation and Public Service Interpreting and Translation to form a partnership of interpreting and translation course providers, professionals and associates. The partnership has a consultative meeting once a year to address such issues as recruitment, recent changes in partner institutions, language portfolio, inter-institutional collaboration and support, links with employers and professional bodies and liaison with Routes into Languages, among other activities.
